Keep in mind that only the base value will be reduced. Cards like Egg and Gift Card will only have their base reduced and will not effect any improvement they have/gave

I agree with OP, the wording says it should only affect cards in the shop. Either the wording should change or it should be changed to not affect jokers already purchased.
