Im thinking when I finish the UI library, I'm thinking of reworking the deck selection menu, since I assume others will be like me with 20+ decks, scrolling through them should probably be redesigned.

I'm workshopping a couple of ways of reworking that menu, but I wanted to hear your guys opinions?

Grid selection/categorization based on deck effect? / decks grouping based on some sort of huristic like decks that add/remove cards or jokers. Etc.

What do you guys think? Imagine you have 100 decks installed, what does your perfect menu that displays these decks look like?

I'm also working on a big meta game progression/heat mod, I'll want to know your opinions but that will be once all the typescript tooling is finished

Hmm.
I would say like, you'd be able to pick tags or disable tags.
Say, "Diamonds" would give you any decks that have diamonds. It would naturally leave OUT Checkered, for instance. "Faces" would exclude Abandoned.

It would be an alphabetic list where mousing over any one would show its Back design and effect to the side, which would be shortened by your filters.

You could have a tag for +Hands, and leave out anything that doesn't have more than the base hands, etc.

What variables does the game keep track of in a deck?

Like, does 'Ghost' have a higher 'Spectral Card appearance rate' stat than base, so it'd show on a search for any "+Spectral (in shops)"

Interest could just be a tickbox, etc.

This is also important since Nyoxide's deck creator mod is about to get a big update

Tick boxe filters is a great idea.
Paged or grid?

You could do a larger grid where the name's written under each one, and just have a limited amount at a time, paired with the filter

You could have a series of Tag-sized buttons with icons relevant to the filter, and the name of the filter would show on mouseover

So a Heart icon, mouse over, "Decks that contain hearts", click it to filter only those, click again to filter OUT decks with hearts, click again/rclick to reset

I'll think and mock up some stuff and see how it feels, having the deck selection we have now with check box filters to

Stake level
Joker changes
Consumable changes
Modded
Unique Effect

Still curious to hear from others on what the list of toggles should/shouldn't have, and any other thoughts/idea s

Modded/unmodded toggle will definitely help but doesn't really help alleviate when you have 50 modded decks installed

Hm, though there isn't that many there definitely will be that much in the future.

Yea I think a keyword search for the deck name/description is a great idea/addition
