It reads like you can't save and quit, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you actually mean

If you press start new run in the pause menu, you won’t see an option to continue

#

People used this to set up glitches, and it never really had a point

You know how there is a button in the main menu to continue a run?

Well that use to also be a button in the menu that appears when you hit esc

But you can no longer continue a run while you are in it
