The Psychic says "Must play 5 cards" iirc, if you don't play 5 cards it should say "not allowed" and discard the hand. Other cards like DNA also won't work on the boss if you play a hand with less than 5 cards, this should be intentional

I get the logic, but I am unsure if I agree with the interaction. The hand was played after all and denied being scored afterwards.

its not the scoring thats denied, the boss literally tells you the hand is "not allowed" after you play it
