Last night I played on monitor two for a while, fullscreen windowed. then i switched to monitor one, full screen windowed. today game launched as fullscreen on monitor one, and when i try to go to video settings i get the above error. Nvidia 4070Ti GPU.

for the devs, when i shut down, nvidia overlay was holding up the process. it works as normal after a restart, so i think this was an nvidia program issue

the issue there was the monitors' sizes being incorrectly written to the save file, causing a crash when attempting to read it

oop sorry for the late response TY!, do you know what the solution is then? On that thread Juniper seemed to fix it by deleting absolutely everything but i think lost their savefile in the process (i think)

Yeah that's what happened to juniper. You should make a backup of the files meta.jkr, profile.jkr and save.jkr (if you have it) in %appdata%/balatro/1/ (assuming your profile is the first one) before you try deleting anything in %appdata%/balatro/
I'm guessing that some combination of disabling their internet, disabling steam cloud sync, and deleting settings.jkr forced their balatro to "repair" the broken file
Could you also send your settings.jkr Jbubby? I'd like to see if your file is also showing the same broken behaviour

hmm, it's really hard for me to test fixing settings files, because when I launch balatro it seems to validate and undo most of my stuff
alright I'll do the same thing as I did with Jupiner, which is that I'm gonna give you a changed settings file to replace your old one, but I doubt it'll work

ye it didnt work T_T i cooould try the scorched earth path but i honestly dont even feel like going through the trouble, i only wanted to fix this to get the game on another monitor but the Window+shift+leftarrow thing works weirdly enough

yes, regular monitor and 1 cintiq drawing device that pretty much acts as a second monitor

kinda, it does look like this if i do it, which isnt the worst thing but atleast its doable (my monitor and tablet are different resolutions)

nah it always starts on my main monitor, and never my tablet monitor even if i close the game on my tablet monitor, windows snapped
