#Hand not recognized after death card used

not a bug
four of a kind is ranked above a flush
therefore it counts as four of a kind
oh i see
if you would rather play a flush swap out one of the aces
Flush is level 27 so I'm gonna do that, thank you
no problem
(mark this post as not a bug btw, you can edit the tags by editing the post)
does make me wonder though if there's any room for "flush four" or other sub hands since there's a straight flush and flush house but only 5 of a kind gets its own flush variant
Yeah I was thinking about "two of a kind" instead of a pair earlier!
I think it 1. might make the game feel too bloated with hands, and 2. could be very frustrating if you're running a 4 of a kind build as an example, and have your 4 of a kind at a very high level, but the only four of a kind you're holding in hand also happens to be a flush, and since it's a "better" hand, the level 1 four of a kind flush triggers and you lose
Yeah the bloat factor kinda seemed like the reason
Plus the hand ranking can get frustrating enough with situations like this where 4oak ranks over flush
Would be nice though if the game chose the better hand, or at least gave you the choice to pick which hand you play if you play a flush for example that also contains a four of a kind
Perhaps an idea for a future joker that could enable this behaviour..
Wouldn't be worth the joker slot. It's such a niche scenario
A new deck then. I'm not a game designer idk
it could have some potential as a deck ability, but then it would also have to have some kind of hand related buff to make it worth it
Two of a kind would have 10x the score of a normal pair in this scenario though, maybe too OP for a joker
how do you mean 10x the score for a two of a kind?
If you have two identical cards it would no longer be a pair but rather 2 of a kind, same suit and rank. Just as with flush five
