For what it's worth, this mod (the one downloadable in the ZIP file at the top of this thread) has not been updated to work with Steamodded 1.0.0.
I've tried to delete the offending "function/end" lines of code to get the portion of code with the debug message to activate and switch the boolean responsible for disabling achievements on modded builds from true to false...
...but to no avail. At least the game no longer crashes when trying to call up a function that no longer exists in Steamodded.
Ah, it looks like Steamo updated the code on Steamodded's GitHub page, 2 days ago.
I appeared to have been missing the LOADER_VERSION_GEQ tag from the header.
Strange-- it still doesn't work for me in Steamodded 1.0.0.
I'm still using 0.9.8 iirc
idk why but this mod still doesn't work for me for achievements, it did at first and then like a week ago just randomly stopped working rip

I'm assuming something to do with the game's update this month
there's an updated version in example_mods on the main branch on github
though it's really just this, I don't see what wouldn't work
I'm also running into issues where this doesn't seem to work with achievements anymore :/

yeah, I think so, today the steammoded was updated, and the changes include calls so the achievement enabler can work properly

It seems that the achievement enabler isn't enabling achievements
nvm, you have to manually download the 'Set Seed Achievements Bypass' file rather than the 'Achievements Enabler' file

Does this allow achievements with set seeds or is that something separate?
it's something separate, this one only disables Steamodded's default behavior of treating every profile as if it had full unlocks
Is there a known issue of this mod crashing when unlocking an achievement? I thought it was due to the set seed mod not working well in tandem but with only this mod it crashed on two separate runs immediately after completing an achievement
none I've been made aware of. What system did this happen on, and what crash message does it yield, if any?
I'm on PC and honestly I can't remember the error id have to try and get it to do it again but as of now it doesn't seem to be unlocking certain achievements so im not sure how to verify. For example I've had over $400 on many runs yet that achievement does not unlock for some reason

well it did just try to unlock something, it just failed because it crashed

sorry if this is a dumb question but what exactly are the steps to update? Just replace the steamodded folder with whatever updated folder is on github?
yeah you can do that
but it's easier if you install using git -> https://github.com/Steamopollys/Steamodded/wiki/01.-Getting-started#using-the-command-line-requires-git
if you do that, all you need to do is run git pull in the command line

Yeah the update seems to fix the crashing problem although im not sure why the mod seems to have an issue with the nest egg achievement and none of the other ones
Sorry to bother again but im getting another crash that is continously preventing me from completing my run, is there any chance you can look at the error log for that?

Its weird that it doesnt show the full directory for wherever the error is happening, unless im just blind and dont see it

line 843 in Blinds.lua for me seems to be just an end
for me it is "level_up_hand(self.children.animatedSprite, handname, nil, -1)"
so your cryptid may not be up to date, but the issue wasn't fixed yet

Well I figured out why nest egg wasn't working Cryptid affects dollar amounts of items and when theres a decimal amount in your money the game doesnt seem to realize youre above $400 so I just disabled Cryptid and it unlocked
the mod loads for me in the main menu but im not getting achievements
Just ran into the same issue. Just discovered every planet card, didn't get the achievement for it

mod put into mod directory, shows up in-game, but seed still appears blue when using mods and no achievements
@barren sinew I noticed that I'm still not getting achievements, even with this clearly on. A lot of other people are having this issue as well.

It seems to work for me now, after making a new profile. Did you "unlock all" on your profile?
I did on a completely separate file to my current one just to try out a plasma deck run, and if I've got to use a new save file for the mod to work I kinda don't want to since I don't wanna lose my progress or anything

ok I did make a new profile but the weird thing is that I just beat a run in under 12 rounds and didn't get the achievement
This mod is now obsolete and has been removed from the example mods collection distributed with Steamodded. With the latest version of Steamodded, you can now enable achievements directly from the mod settings by clicking the mods button and selecting the config tab.
this new setting also includes an option to bypass restrictions like unlock all

yeah but I didn't know that the mod was obsolete so I tried what was suggested to me earlier which was to make a new file but my dumbass deleted the one I was using
I'm guessing disable mod badges is the one that re-enables achievements
it was not yet obsolete, I literally just added the feature to steamodded
