Any stone card claims to be without suit, but when a stone card that used to be diamonds in the hand, Blackboard doesn't work.

I could be wrong, but I think even if it were previously a black card, blackboard wouldn't work. Bc stone cards are without suit, they don't count as either a spade or club.

Had this exact same issue, but I noticed that blackboard WOULD trigger when I held some stone cards, and then WOULDN'T when I held some others. So it's definitely still picking up the suit on the stone cards

It doesn’t, blackboard only cares if the cards in hand are all clubs/spades, not if they aren’t exclusively that
