We've got a whole new suite of skip tags!
In game, these are referred to as just "tags".

1. Uncommon Tag - Shop has an Uncommon Joker.

2. Rare Tag - Shop has a Rare Joker.

3. Negative Tag - [[Next shop Joker without an edition gains Negative.]]

4. Foil Tag - [[Next shop Joker without an edition gains Foil.]]

5. ** Holographic Tag** - [[Next shop Joker without an edition gains Holographic.]]

6. Polychrome Tag - [[Next shop Joker without an edition gains Polychrome.]]

7. Investment Tag - After beating the Boss Blind, gain $15.

8. Voucher Tag - Adds one voucher to the next shop.

9. Boss Tag - Rerolls the Boss Blind.

10. Standard Tag - Gives a free Standard Pack.

11. Charm Tag - Gives a free Mega Arcana Pack.

12. Meteor Tag - Gives a free Mega Celestial Pack.

13. Buffoon Tag - Gives a free Mega Buffoon Pack.

14. Handy Tag - Gives $1 per played hand this run.

15. Garbage Tag - Gives $1 per unused discard this run.

16. Ethereal Tag - Gives a free Spectral Pack.

17. Coupon Tag - Initial cards and booster packs in next shop are free.

18. Double Tag - Gives a copy of the next selected Tag. (Double Tag excluded)

19. Juggle Tag - +3 hand size next round.

20. D6 Tag - Rerolls in next shop start at $0.

21. Top-up Tag - Create up to 2 Common Jokers. (Must have room)

22. Speed Tag - Gives $5 per skipped Blind this run (including itself).

23. Orbital Tag - Upgrade [[randomly chosen poker hand]] by 3 levels.

24. Economy Tag - Doubles your money (Max of $40).

I think orbital giving slight planet buffs to multiple hands is better than buffing a hand to the point where you could most likely pivot in most cases

i think pivoting is the point. also it could feel a lot stronger in the demo's 5 antes than the full game.

my skipping strategy in general:
(1) if I'm playing a hands-heavy strat (vagabond/fortune teller, pants, green) I don't skip except if there's something really good on like the last skip

(2) if I'm playing anaglyph, I skip somewhat aggressively. With the right tags I'll fullskip.

(3) if I'm just playing "normal" I evaluate the skips individually. Like, is a free shop worth more than a round to me? Maybe. Polychrome joker? Plausibly. Negative joker? Often. If I have hologram I'll take a mega standard skip.

Reroll tag is basically rerolls cost $5 less each, which I think is actually pretty good when you're trying to dig for good cards ante 5/ante 8 full game

30 isnt much but when so many abilities are about mult it compounds that to an insane degree

i dont think it helps to build around it but its useful

reroll tag will improve with a very, very specific style of play (one where you reroll like 12 times). When you do that, you're not saving 5-10 dollars by taking this tag, you're saving upwards of 20-30 since you're spending (0 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6) instead of (5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11). I think this kind of math is called triangular numbers

Skip tags had the biggest glow up in Balatro history. I went from hardly ever skipping to skipping several times a run. W feature, we love skip tags

If you have that much to spend you probably make a lot more in 1 round then you would save

If you reroll 3 times, it saves you 15$, which is as good as the investment tag

this is particularly useful if you have a lot of $ near the end of a run and haven't gotten the jokers you want, and especially if you have overstock. $15 will give you looks at 18 shop spots with a reroll tag.

which demo doesnt go deep enough for that real meta rn but full game will, which i why i see the benefit of D6
