i think scholar is in an interesting spot; it gives slightly more reward per-card but with tighter restrictions, in the family of "reward for specific played&scored cards"

Both of my highest-score runs were 5oak aces with scholar, so that makes some sense

when i first saw Scholar, i thought: ooh Even Steven and Odd Todd but only for aces

i get why todd was changed to include aces, but honestly i'd like to see aces get removed again and todd give slightly more chips overall, so they dont overlap

i find it interesting that it buffs one specific rank since that can sometimes be inconsistent, but after playing with it, I don't think that ends up being a design flaw. there's a lot of ways to deal with the downside
