by unseeded, do you mean you must complete the run ithout a specific seed, or simply that no seed is provided by the challenge?

I think for fairness of the challenge - it'd be explicitly one or the other for that particular challenge

#

Otherwise that kinda seems like 2 challenges in a way

#

So yeah sorry Unseeded means truly unseeded

#

Real challenges in the full game will be like this anyway, seeded challenges (excluding daily) won't actually count as winning the challenge

OH this is different than dailies?

#

are these for achievements or something like that?

At least for the kinds of challenges I suggest I would like them to be unseeded, because it seems like it would be fun to play them multiple times with different seeds

I feel like seeded runs are typically educational ones (i.e. teaching you how to navigate certain combinations and/or synergies, blinds, economy management, etc.)

whereas unseeded runs are the ones that are intended to run you through a normal game with slightly different caveats and see how you can apply the things that you've learned on a random canvas (i.e. "only one shop per blind, but income is doubled", "jokers cannot be sold or destroyed through any means, but +2 joker slots", "no jokers/tarots, only planets", etc.)

the first being seeded can't really cause it harm, whereas the second option not being seeded could make certain challenges beyond too difficult should the seed not be handpicked to have certain jokers in the shop, or certain planet cards, or certain card pulls during gameplay

Of course, ideally no challenge should be impossible in a random seed, but - thinking TBoI here - I can recall there were more than a handful of challenges which changed the "settings" of the game, as they were, which would render unseeded runs almost impossible.
