An emoji localization would go fire. It's also a pretty equally known language internationally. Not many people are conversational in it though.

Maybe not a language change, but definitely a font change to Comic Sans, or default Unity text. As all professional, big industry games should have.

I'm hungarian, but on the internet, including with my hungarian friends, we all collectively speak English, as that's a language i'm very comfortable with in video gaming, and general internet slangs/terms.
So my answer to the above poll would be "Even if the game would be localized in my language, for the sake of comfort, i would still use English."

English is not my mother tongue but I would still play it in English.

Although I’ve thought about changing my systems’ language to English, I don’t usually bother to, so often programs see that: my system; my preferences; and my geographical local all speak different languages, and present text to me in some combination of three languages.

Interesting results, but not surprising. Many people here have a high degree of involvement with the game and its community so english is more convenient even if that's not their first language.

Answer from the average playerbase would be pretty different I guess. Maybe it would be interesting to ask other roguelite devs about it ? Sharing experience is always valuable

my native language is spanish and some terms were not so clear to me at first glance and if a want to show this game to a friend it would come with a big language barrier, poker and english, and as someone else said, only people who speaks english can answer it
