I agree with this. I think it'd be great to be able to scroll through the cards with for example arrow keys, select with another and play/discard with yet another.

Some basic ideas:
- Top row number keys: select/deselect cards in hand
- RET/SPC/p: play
- x/q: discard
- arrows and wasd: move around in menus

It hardly matters, because the rule nowadays is that you should allow rebinding keys.
Of course, defaults are still important, so there's that.
Binding multiple keys to the same action is OK though.
Like controller button prompts it's normal to show what keys to press to activate what.
