Yes.
Can you give specs for PC/os
Something must be different about your configuration because I haven't seen this bug before. You tried multiple audio devices/multiple games to validate it's Balatro specifically?
Might be a Balatro issue still but it's not universal is all I mean
Yes. Other games work, audio-wise. Tried changing audio output while in the game and still wasn't getting the sound.
Wasn't taken any other way.
1 sec while I get my sysinfo.
You might need to swap audio devices before rebooting game
Okay, so on rebooting with the different audio device, the music comes through. However, it's through my monitor and I'd prefer not to have to resort to that.

Any other audio devices you can test with?
aside from your monitor
To isolate - sounds like it's something with the headphones specifically
It's a possibility. Sounding like it could be a particular channel.
The engine doesn't pick audio devices, that is all handled very low level via SDL calls so my hunch is there is something wonky with that audio device either on a windows/driver/hardware level
Personally I know any wireless headphones I have on windows 10 with a mic sometimes have 'handsfree telephony' checked as a service and that messes up audio playback
makes it sound very low bitrate and hollow
So, wired headphones also seem to work.
Fixed it. It is an issue with this particular headset instancing itself into a 'chat' and a 'game' output. Has to be set to the 'game' output via advanced sound settings. Doesn't seem to default to it.
Appreciate you working with me to get it figured out. It's a great game and I'm anxiously awaiting the ability to pay for it.
