We would like to have multi-language support in Nova-2 Medical, similar to what is available in Nova-2 or Nova-2 General. Are there any plans to implement this feature in the near future?

Hey there! This channel allows you to ask Kapa.ai for assistance. But it looks like you haven't connected your Discord profile to your Deepgram account yet. You can do so at https://community.deepgram.com - by doing so, you'll be able to ask questions in #1115960287183511643 if you need human assistance!

Based on the available information, I don't have a definitive answer about plans to support multi-language capabilities for the Nova-2 Medical model similar to what's available in the Nova-2 General model. However, I can provide some relevant context:

Currently, the Nova-2 Medical model is limited to English language support. According to the Models & Languages Overview (https://developers.deepgram.com/docs/models-languages-overview), the Nova-2 Medical model supports English variants (en, en-US, etc.), while the Nova-2 General model supports a wide range of languages including multilingual capabilities.

The multilingual feature, specifically for Spanish and English code-switching, is available for the Nova-2 General model as mentioned in the Multilingual Code-Switching documentation (https://developers.deepgram.com/docs/multilingual-code-switching). However, this feature is not currently listed for the Medical model.

Deepgram has been expanding language support for their models over time. For instance, they recently added Cantonese support to the Nova-2 model, as noted in a changelog update (https://deepgram.com/changelog/nova-2-cantonese).

While there's no specific information about plans to add multi-language support to the Nova-2 Medical model, Deepgram seems to be actively working on expanding language capabilities across their models. If this feature is important for your use case, I recommend reaching out directly to Deepgram support or sales team to inquire about their roadmap for the Medical model.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
