A lot of players have been discussing the new inventory screen, and while I think the overall design is not THAT bad, there are a few areas that could use some polish to improve the experience.
Character Side Too Large: The character display takes up too much space, leaving the inventory cramped and hard to interact with on mobile.
Fix: Adjust the layout so both the character side and inventory each take up half the screen , giving more room for item management.
Sorting Options Are Limited: The current sorting (A-Z or unclear default) isn’t practical for most players. Sorting alphabetically just isn’t how people organize their items in-game.
Fix: Add a "Last Used" sorting option that prioritizes items based on recent interactions like usage, trading, banking, or receiving. This would make sorting much more intuitive.*
Page Navigation Is Clunky on Mobile: The buttons for switching pages are small and hard to tap, and there’s no swipe functionality. For a mobile-focused game, this feels like a step back.
Fix: Add a swipe gesture for quick page navigation.
Increase the size of the page buttons for better accessibility.
Reduce the number of visible buttons (e.g., show 7 instead of 11) to declutter the interface.Edit: You can also have a scrollbar on the side to scroll with, which flips trough the pages to mimic the scrolling.
I’ve included a quick mock-up showing how these changes could look in action. Including gear presets
