Some info/helpful tips about the server!

Automod vs HKIAbot Mod

Some may have noticed that there are two different kinds of auto-mod 'warnings'.
HKIAbot's warnings are 'official' (the public warnings) and will require @blissful moth or myself to remove any infractions it deems warn-worthy.

Warnings will ONLY ban or mute members if the following happens:

  • temp ban: 5 recorded infractions in 30 minutes
  • ban: 3 recorded infractions in 20 minutes
  • temp mute: 5 recorded infractions in 30 days
    (will update this if the automated actions are updated)

All of these are easily removed by myself or @blissful moth ! We are both typically online at least a few hours every single day so hold tight if it happens on a false positive!

We have this in place in case we get some very bad actors and none of the mods are online!

Automod's private warnings (signified by the highlighting of your message and a private warning), are not official warnings and do not have any ability to ban or kick a member.
IF for some reason, you are banned or muted by the HKIAbot, @blissful moth or I can undo this very easily. Just have ONE friend ping Community Mod or DM one of us! Nothing to worry about!

note: if you posted a very long message which got removed, and you still have access to the message, please send us a screenshot so we can fix up the bot's filtering to exclude it to the best of our ability as we can only see the 180 or so characters

Finally, we do check our automod logs for both types of warnings, daily so please do not DM or tag us unless we haven't gotten to it in 24 hours ❤️

Users can use the command .user-info in #bot-commands in order to check if they have infractions that have not been resolved (if they were a false positive)!
