Have you checked the forum and wiki to ensure your issue hasn't been resolved? Yes

What launcher are you using? Curseforge/Neoforge

Which modpack are you using? BCG+

Have you modified the pack in any way? No

What version of the modpack are you using? 2.12.1

What version of the Java runtime are you using? Java 21.0.7

Have you allocated 6GB of RAM or higher? Yes

If playing with others, what method is being used to host/join the server? Home server, forwarded through PlayIt(dot)gg. OS on the hardware for the server is 'Ubuntu lts'

If playing with others, have you confirmed that both the client and server are running the exact same version of the pack (including any HF releases)? (Y/N): Yes, both versions match

Describe the issue: Today, the server has been crashing repeatedly as well as quickly disconnecting players that join the server. One player was stating that they were 'teleported to a random spot in the world and fell through blocks like air'. As far as I am aware, nothing changed on the server side or with the hardware for this to be attributed to as it worked just fine last night and this morning. Issues began around this afternoon, in Central Standard Time.

Steps you've taken in effort to resolve this issue:

  1. Restarting the computer/hardware.
  2. Entered 'CTRL^C Restart' to restart the server through a Linux terminal. Additionally, used /stop while the server was running and restarted it manually.
  3. Changing the default port through PlayIt(dot)gg and modifying forwarding settings. Same issue persisted.
  4. Clean reinstall of PlayIt(dot)gg

In order to better help you with your issue, we need to see your client's log file. To find the log files/folder:

  • ATLauncher: Instances > BigChadGuys Plus > Open Folder
  • Prism Launcher: Right-click your instance > Folder
  • CurseForge Launcher: Right-click your instance > Open Folder

Double-click the logs folder and send your latest.log in this channel. If your game crashed, please also include the newest file in crashReports/

Here is the Latest, at the time of our most recent issues. I was at work when it occurred so I can post the new logs if that helps too

#

This is the log from a server, so I am unsure where the crash reports would be if it's not through CurseForge

put that on the server and have the players install it on their clients

Will this solve this issue? Or is this just to help with errors

misty moss
#

this is sort of a step 1

#

seeing if it lessens the packet issues

What about the Out of Bounds exception?

#

hard to troubleshoot it with the limited info

Is there a way to find more information regarding it? We've seen the message since we started the server for the first time, too, so I don't know if it is causing the issues today or not

#

My roommate is running a diagnostic on the hardware to check for memory issues, as the memory stick is somewhat older. He's the owner of the machine so we are going to finish that and I'll add this mod to the server after as I can't do it until it's over

latest.logs and crash reports help

#

crash report will show the stack trace and hardware if there are any issues

#

latest.log should capture all log events for the day

For the time being the server seems to be fixed? Also the port service we used was having issues and has since resolved them so I'd imagine that played a part. I'll update this ticket if needed but if you need to close it I can open another one if I have another issue
