Hi, what part are you up to specifically/what are you having trouble with

tight karma
#

id figure it would have been an installer i launch but its just a zip file

fading herald
#

Make sure you download the .msi, .exe or .dmg, not the .zip

#

Make sure you download 17.0.1+12, these versions have installers

tight karma
#

is there anything special in the launcher i need to do like set home variable

fading herald
#

Which launcher are you using?

tight karma
#

curse

fading herald
#

I think under Settings > Minecraft > there's somewhere you can change the Java that's used

#

We're not familiar with curse here because we don't recommend their launcher so I'm not sure if this is correct though

tight karma
#

whats perfered

fading herald
#

Prism Launcher

#

very easy to use

tight karma
#

ill try that

#

so i can just click the curseforge option in prisim or do i need to import the pack from elsewhere

fading herald
#

do you have any single player worlds or anything already in curseforge?

tight karma
#

no

fading herald
#

then you can just download from new under the curseforge button, search the pack > download

tight karma
#

somehow i messed up azil install or i cant find it

fading herald
#

Did you run the installer?

tight karma
#

yes i cant find the path in prisim

fading herald
#

did you click Refresh

tight karma
#

i did

fading herald
#

The 17.0.1 x86 is your Zulu-17-jre as you can see in the Path

tight karma
fading herald
#

Oh, you need the x86_64 or amd64 (64 bit) version. You installed the 32 bit version

tight karma
#

ahh

#

i think ill have to manually install those

fading herald
#

One moment

#

Azul Zulu 17.0.1+12 Windows x86 64-bit JDK

tight karma
#

the stuttering is less noticable i really apreatiate it is it tied to the garbage cleaner or whatever its called and what would happened if i removed it

#

because i can run more intensive packs no problem this is the first pack ive had this issue

fading herald
#

we haven't been able to figure out the source of the issue which is why this is our only course of action at this time. i apologise for the inconvenience

#

garbage collection is a feature of java and can't be removed. zulu just has the best performance out of any which is why we recommend it to mediate the issue
