Right now the money system feels like it's a temporary placeholder. Here are some of the issues with it:
- There are only a few selected items that you can sell. This modpack presents itself as a Stardew Valley-like modpack, but you can't sell the food you make.
- The money you get from them makes some of the items not worth selling at all.
- I don't like that after the update, you can only sell the items in stacks of 64. It's not very convenient.
- The money you get from selling items is almost the same for every item. I feel like there needs to be a little bit more variety in the prices. For example, right now there are like 100 items that are all worth 10 silver coins per stack.
- Some items are just too OP. For example, bamboo and kelp are very easy to farm and sell for a lot of money. I made a simple farm using Create that gave me ~200 golden coin STACKS per bamboo harvest (around half an hour of AFK and 5 minutes of harvesting, selling, and replanting).
My suggestions:
- Add more items that you can sell: all the ingots (Mystic Metals, Better End, silver form Clutter, Create addons), all food items, Relics (Artifacts, Things), all logs, potions? (I'm not sure about this one, but it would be cool to have a way to make money from brewing), flowers, corals, and more.
- Rework the prices of the items and make them more balanced and unique.
- Sell items for copper, silver, and gold coins, rather than just silver ones per stack.
- It would be awesome to add some storage for coins, like a coin pouch trinket or a Terraria-like piggy bank.
I know that this is a lot of work, but I think that the money system is a very important part of this pack and it would be an amazing improvement to the game if it was reworked.
