Submissions temporarily disabled to enable adding evaluation API
Thank you to @victorshlepov for identifying structural data leakage with the test data format. To remove the possibility of leakage exploits we are updating the competition to use the evaluation API. In order to transition to the new format we are temporarily disabling submissions and will need to completely reset the leaderboard. We expect to have submissions enabled again within 24 hours and will post again in this thread when you can submit again.
What is changing? We are implementing the evaluation API. This API ensures that at each prediction point, no future player position data is made available to your model. Why the change? While the intended real-world application involves post-game analysis (where all data is available), we agree that this change is essential for a fair competition environment. Impact on your submissions: This update means the submission format will change, and submission notebooks will need to be updated accordingly. In addition, we will be invalidating all previous submissions, effectively resetting the leaderboard. Next Steps: We will provide detailed instructions and a guide to help you convert your existing submissions to be compatible with the new pipeline.Thank you for your understanding as we make this improvement — we’ll have everyone back to Kaggling soon!
