This is one of those nukes that spits out gold. It's good news in a very direct sense -- superhuman diagnostics is amazing. But this is being powered by regular foundation models.... I don't think we need to go this route. I think we can train narrower models and get the benefits without the risks. We don't need the sand god.
It's going to get tougher to argue against the development of models in general if they start publishing these kind of results. It's almost like a distraction from the absolutely real dangers so they can buy time to develop even more advanced models without more regulatory hurdles being placed.
