#US and UK announce formal partnership on artificial intelligence safety

I want to tweet about this, something like this:
It's good to see the US and the UK are sharing some insights in AI safety evaluations, but this is nowhere near the type of international policy that we need to keep our species safe. This agreement does nothing to prevent the emergence of a potentially world-ending superintelligence. It remains perfectly legal to scale up AI models beyond any threshold. We need globally enforced compute caps on training runs, not just some knowledge sharing. Stop patting yourselves on the back and do your job: prevent humanity from being replaced and stop this race now.
I don't see this as a real win. I'm pissed at the politicians involved - all the bragging going on. The proud tweets and the "landmark" achievements.
I would rather see they admitted how dire our current situation is, how small this win actually is. Instead all involved get knighted and honors all around while they leave the whole mess laying there for someone else to clean up.
well sure the AI killed everyone, but at least some people get to add some extra titles to their name
