Weird to me, since the act should affect OpenAI, Anthropi, Meta, etc more
Afaik
Maybe the objection is ideological?
Someone please tell me if I'm wrong
The EU AI Act, while not at all perfect, is one of the most teethy forms of AI policy out there. It does not cover all risks, but it's a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, Germany and France are trying to kill it because they fear it stifles innovation. The Paris startup Mistral is one of the forces behind the lobbying.
