Can we please have this Save & Quit as optional and not forced save game action? There are times when you don't want to save the game and just quit to main menu and/or game and then only option we have is either Alt+F4 or kill the process in task manager. While we have so many customization options already in the game this part is beyond my understanding why is there a forced action to save the game before quit? I could understand if there would be prompt to ask when cliking Quit to Menu: Would you like to save game Y/N or something like this.
This is one of the worst part of any game that force players to save game before going to main menu or closing app.
Would you consider it as Optional and not forced action?

Quit without save is pretty much cheating as the game is designed to not let you save scum, and as you pointed out, Alt-F4 accomplishes the same thing

I spontaneously died in an area and it took me almost twenty minutes combing the area to find where the game had placed my inventory. Would have really appreciated the ability to quit without saving as a failsafe
