Dropped items need to move back to land

As I was walking near the edge of a cliff, the collision/foot tracking glitched and my character collided with seemingly nothing and then slid off the edge. My items are now out of reach and unretrievable as the crate is at the bottom of the water and it says it's too far to interact. I tried jumping down and quickly looting and then hitting unstuck, but I die too quickly to pull that off.

Hate to say it, but things like this are enough to make me ragequit the game. If I had the fusion rod on me at the time (I didn't), I would have been completely screwed. Instead, I just lost a drone and my herbicides that I needed to progress a quest. I could make more, but I'm too irritated to deal with it at the moment.

I found an autosave that happened right before I went outside and died, so thankfully I was able to save my stuff that way, but this needs an in-game solution

fell in the lava a few times later on and the loot was on land. maybe this was just a problem area where it wasn't detecting that it was in the water, or maybe water follows different rules

This is on the list for a fix today! It's a particular bug with this area!
