When a Pocket Rift is summoned in the same zone where the player is bound, then the player dies and respawns, the Pocket Rift will remain, however the player will have no active pets.
In the screenshot below, I have a Pocket Rift and can use it to access bank. I also have an Azynthian Warhound summoned as a pet.
