It's a lot of chat spam especially while in port azure and I personally don't see it as worth my time running after the SimPs anyway not knowing where in a zone they are.
I just like having a clean chat.

There's a setting that turns off NPC banter. I'm not sure it turns off WTB or not. There's also a local chat tab that filters out some of the messages.

the local chat also filters out pretty much any other relevant message, like xp and stuff

from turning in to doing 11 treasure maps the only messages in local chat are whispers while I was in Port Azure and standing changes
