It would be helpful to have the ability to know at a glance if one item is better than another. Since many of the formulas aren’t readily apparent just a simple predefined text file ranking and a gear score or other number that you could reference when all of your sims claim they want something you could compare these rankings to see who needs it more. I would be happy with even an offline spreadsheet but if it can be automated at the item level even better

Compare equipment appears to just compare equipment. I’m looking for a ranking to tell if something is an upgrade based on a predefined list

Ah I see. That might be a bit difficult because some equipment can be equipped by multiple classes. For example, if you're a duelist, a piece of equipment might have better stats overall, but might be a better piece of equipment for a paladin than for yourself, and your current equipment might be a better fit because of it.
Not sure how to take that into account, but perhaps someone is better equipped than me for something like this ^^

I was thinking just a column for each class rank so each item would have four ranks and these ranks are revealed possibly on mouse over
