It took me a long time to complete this also. I even left and came back to do it. I ended up just silencing the game and playing music until it dropped. It did not drop off of the boss for me and I wiped all of the slimes out at least three times.

Yeah, we got like 2 levels and no shovel drop. It's to the point where we're not getting any XP.

I Takes a long time, but the shovel drops. Try to not go looking for it...that is when it dropped for me 😅

It's a 1.55% drop chance from either of the normal slimes.
Gloopa does not drop it.
