Since the player character is always the party leader, it would be good to have party-leader privileges - like, for example, setting markers on monsters to control the party's behavior and strategy, which can be set out of battle. This would primarily benefit boss fights with a lot of adds, as well as any future raids that might make it necessary.

There would be several types of Markers:

  1. Kill Markers - the Simplayers will prioritize killing monsters with kill markers. If there are multiple enemies with the marker, the party will switch to another Kill Marked monster automatically. They could also be numbered to make it so the players kill the monsters in a certain order.

  2. Control Marker - Crowd Controllers will prioritize crowd controlling monsters with this marker whenever possible, the party will not attack them unless only monsters with this marker remain.

  3. Interrupt Marker - Paladins and Duelists will attempt to interrupt spellcasting from this monster whenever possible, regardless of who their current target is.

  4. Ignore Marker - Simplayers will completely ignore monsters with this marker and not attack them unless directly ordered by the player, may have some niche uses.

Bumping this, since I still think it's a good idea.

This is actually a major part of the plans for raid encounters!
