#Returning Player, SUPER overwhelmed - where to go from here

Came back to the game yesterday (yes, against my better judgement) and want to give it a genuine shot again, now that it's on steam and I can have it run in the background.
BUT there is just SO much that's new to me (all of the Abyss Dungeon Stages and current Guild-PVP Meta being my biggest problem) that I struggle actually getting anywhere, since I assume all of my previous Teams are obsolete and have to build back up from scratch.
I slapped a GBH Team together that's been working fine (Teshar, Prilea, Teon, WHomie, Kona), but beyond that I just feel stun-locked...

Any help setting up for basic PVE/PVP would be greatly appreciated!
I'm happy to provide any screenshots/info needed, just didn't want to post 20 screenshots off the bat, just to cover my absurdly large monster box LUL

start by going through #guides to set up your pve teams step by step

worth nothing that you shouldnt jump to any end game team. those will take a lot better runes and artifacts that you don't have right now. you can start on step 2 of gbah with spectra

#

work on 1 team at a time

#

derune all your monsters

#

put the best sets you have on the monsters mentioned in the guide meeting each stat requirement that's mentioned

i had a look at the guide!
(that's where i got the GBH Team from)

My problem with following that, might be my "pride"?
I was running pretty "advanced" teams everywhere before i quit (Tatu, TriCaru and BJR5 for reference) and I want to avoid building a bunch of new monsters for comps i think i should be past?

I am by no means aiming for end game teams o7 (i think)
Just somewhere around 1 Min clears for DBH and the Artifacts (i am still tormented by 2+ minute dungeon runs hahaha) and some basic Teams I can use for Guild Content in the mean time ^-^

But maybe thats my lack of knowledge talking lol xD

unfortunately that's just how it is, it's the feeling of sunk cost in investment on the monsters that you did and building new ones for the same content always feel bad. but that's something you should get over it

#

tatu dot teams, tricaru, bjr5 all are dead/unnecessary to the point that we don't even suggest building them or using them anymore

#

so you have to use completely different teams anyway. and the units we suggest all are endgame for pve (fran, vero, spectra, kro, etc.)

#

it's not going to make you build units that you will use for short, it's expecting you make units that you will use forever that you can just improve over with better runes

#

the guide is designed with reuseability in mind too, so for example building a spectra means you can use it in gbah, dbah, toa. fran for toa, sfah, rifts, raid. kro for gbah, pcah (optional), rifts, raid. and so on

#

the guide is done in order from top to bottom

well that's... a massive "feelsbad"-moment...

but, I get it
I'm gonna set everything to zero and just hope I don't get too discouraged by the step backwards that that'll feel like being

thank you for your input! ^-^

well, you're not a stranger to the new game, so the only difference is that you'll just progress a lot faster as a player and you can easily assemble a lot of the teams in time if you have the runes

I feel ya. I finally went through last night and removed all my runes during the event to redo them per the guide. I felt kinda lost, and I'm sure I will when I go to throw the runes on tonight. I assume gbah team is the first target for best runes? Then go from there?

you're farming gbah for the entire of pve (and basically forever post-pve) so it makes sense to optimize times on gbah asap to get runes faster
