Please take a look at #guides ⁠, there are many detailed guides for all areas of both PvE and PvP (it's not just for beginners) with tons of different team suggestions and explanations of how to rune them.

We recommend completely finishing PvE before starting with dedicated PvP teams. This game is all about runes, and without being able to farm for those runes then no combination of even the best monsters in the game will give you any success in PvP.

The more effort you put into asking for help, the better help you'll get. Show that you've done a bit of research yourself first. What have you tried so far? Based on the suggestions in the guide, what teams do you think would be good?

The following is a generic template for building an arena defense that's applicable anywhere from conqueror to G3. The listed monsters are the best options in the game right now outside certain LD5s.

  1. Speed lead: Vanessa, Psamathe, Clara, Halphas, Moore

  2. AoE stripper: Triton, Clara, Nora, Juno, Zen, Byungchul, Amduat

  3. Bruiser: Camilla, Savannah, Byungchul, Perna, Rakan

  4. Support: Abellio, Triana, Manon, or simply another bruiser from the category above

If you don't have any of these premium options, common f2p siege def monsters can be used as well: Vigor, Eshir, Cichlid, Chilling, Iunu, Tesa, etc. Example complete f2p def would be Clara Vigor Triana Tesa.

Note that working on any sort of PvP is useless until you've completed finished PvE. If you are just trying to get to 1300 arena points for the Summoners Way mission, read ?arenamission.

When you are just starting to work on arena and aiming for conq ranks, you should be focusing 95% of your efforts on AO. You climb by improving your offense and being able to beat more defs, consistently, and faster. AD is mostly a deterrent to discourage players from hitting you in the first place, there's very little you can do to get def wins. And even then, people will always attack you no matter what. Your only option to get a higher rank is to win on offense faster than people attack your defense.

  • Fat Lushen: Psamathe, Kabilla, Kona/Teon, Lushen

  • Used against squishy speed ADs such as Psama Triton Sav Kaki.

  • If no Psama, use Gin. If you're really poor, use Susano Orion/Wayne Kona.

  • If no Kabilla, use Eshir or Bernard.

  • Against slow tankier ADs, you can use attack lead such as Alicia and Mirinae/Miriam instead of Kabilla .

  • Tiana Galleon: Tiana Galleon +2 DD

  • Used against tanky bruiser AD such as Karnal Nora Xing Abellio.

  • If you have Deborah, it's common to run Deb + Kaki/Pung.

  • Bomb team: Seara Tiana Miriam +1 bomber

  • Used against stall AD such as Vanessa Nora Cami Windy.

  • Hongyeon is an alternative to Miriam that lets you race ADs with swift strippers.

  • For the + 1 bomber, John > Liebli > Sian.

  • Leo Christina: Leo Delphoi Galleon Christina

  • Used against tanky AD with weak stripper such as Vanessa Amduat Cami Abellio.

  • Delphoi can be replaced with Tiana against ADs with immunity buffers.

  • Leah (light Chun-Li): Chiwu Adriana Leah Truffle/Carmella

  • Used against many things such as Vanessa Zen Cami Byungchul.

  • If no Chiwu, use Gemini. Then you have other options for the truffle slot too such as Jasmine, Deb, or Miri.

  • If no Adriana, use Kahli.

  • A worse but still strong variant of this team is Chiwu Eshir Galleon Leah.

  • Double snipe: Jamire Adriana Sonia +1 ignore def single target DD

  • Used against against speedy stall ADs such Clara Cami Windy Yeonhwa.

  • If no Adriana, use Kahli.

  • If no Jamire, use another speed lead such as Seara.

  • The best +1 ignore def single target DD is Bethony. Other options include Covenant, Kahli, Claire, Elena, Taru, Shren, Odin, dupe Sonia.

  • A poverty version of this is Praline + 3 ignore def DD. The poverty refers to the monsters, it actually takes higher rune quality to pull this off.

  • Dot AO: Haegang + 3 dotters
