Summoners War is a bit different from other monster collection games. Two quick things to understand:
First, higher rarity monsters are not always better than lower rarity monsters. There are many nat 2* and 3* monsters that are used even by end game players with everything available to them. The developers also intentionally buffed a bunch of farmable lower rarity monsters to be extremely good at PvE content. The best PvE teams in the game are all full of these farmable/fusable 3* and 4* monsters.
Second, there's lots of different areas in the game, and different monsters/teams are good at different things. Even when you're a completely new player, there's no such thing as building a generic team that you use for everything. You work on one thing at a time, building specific teams for specific dungeons.
What this all means is that no matter what shiny rare monsters you manage to summon early on, they won't help you progress through the game. Default 5* monsters are designed to be good for PvP not PvE, so storage them for now and save them for later. Alternatively, it also means that you can have the worst summoning luck in the world and still manage to get through the game just as fast as anyone else. Check out our detailed progression guides by typing ?beginner in the #bot-commands channel, and also check out our #1048681073502068917 channel for even more guides.
