WATER BEAST
Boss Mechanic: reduces your HP, this effect is undone by boosting ATB/Gaining turns
Frontline/Backline
The damage isn't reduced by the amount of frontliners that you have, so run 2 FL, 4 BL.
Team Suggestion without water twins
Front Line: Fran/Mav
Back Line: Kro(2A) + lingling + 2 damage dealers
Team Suggestion with water twins
Front Line: Fran & Mav
Back Line: Sabrina + Talia + Kro(2A) + +1 damage dealer
Leaderskills
Lushen (Attack%) and Talia (Crit Rate)
Damage Dealers
Sabrina & Talia
Hraesvelg
Ling Ling
Melissa & Sabrina
Theomars
Iunu
Fuco
Susano
Alternatives to Water twins,
Replace with Ling ling and 2 other Damage dealer above.
Melissa can be paired with Sabrina but will do less damage than Sabrina + Talia
Use ?riftstats in #bot-commands, if you want help knowing how to build these units.
Confused by a listed name? use /monster name:Monster to find the normal name.
Team can vary based on your monster box. If you have questions about monsters you could use, share your monster box in #help-and-advice-old or create a !helpme

Note
All of these listed monsters, have uses in other parts of the game which is why they're being recommended.

Rift Beast Stats
==============
Frontline: Fran and Mav will Frontline for all rifts
Fran - SPD/DEF/HP, 1.2k def, +15k hp, 200 spd, low CR, 2 def artifacts
Mav - SPD/DEF/HP, 1.2k def, +15k hp, 180 spd, 45% acc, low CR, 2 def artifacts
*The HP/DEF are minimums, extra is always better
*Fran does not need much attack hence no listed requirement
*Fran and Mav both work on vio builds, Fran getting the best, Mav second best
*The accuracy and CR req are for ?toa , as accuracy in rift beast is not important
Lapis - SPD/CD/ATT, 180 SPD after Speed Tower, 85% CR, balance of ATT/CD, attack artifacts
*Can reuse some of the free +15 vamp runes from ?farmer as a base, slot 2 should be switched to speed
*Focusing more on ATT/CD from runes can allow you to use HP artifacts so she's not too squishy still for faimon farming
Hraesvelg - [SPD-ATT]/CD/[ATT-DEF-HP], 90k eHP, fastest DD, 70+ CR, balance of ATK/CD)
Kro(2A) - ATT/CD/ATT, 140 SPD, 70-81% CR, balance of ATK/CD and stats needed for ?gb12 , NOT on violent
Sigmarus - see ?toa notes
Twins - see ?twins command
**Damage Dealers **- see ?dd command
Colleen - ?bj5 colleen will work for wind beast
Thats the hard part even with dropping in hp
yes she will still be used in gb12/toan/rift beast frontline
rift beast the beast dmg is reduced the more def one has, which is why its so specific on 1200 total def
Well i could try to obtain another def artifact
But im only using white artifacts since they are easy to level
she is on def/hp arti's?
perfect, ya switch the other to def and +15 it
Ok ill go and try to get one
this is pretty much how it'll be till you focus on farming arti's in b10 later on
I dont really farm the artis
Which one should i farm?
Steel punisher?
Im not really familiar with the 2
Yeah thats what ive been using them for
sf and pc (stage 1 or 2)
same build but only needs 180 cmb spd, not 200
I stuck a bunch of left over runes on him but i know for fact i gotta change him
but want to make sure you also get 45% acc on him
too much acc, too little def, and too fast
Lol well rip
especially if you then loss out on more important stats
So substats are more important than rune effects?
if you look at it this way, 42 spd of mav's will come from his slot 2 at +15 (if its a 6* rune), that leave you only needing 37 spd from yr other 5 runes
1200 def is actually 1k needed from runes/base and 200 def from artifacts
leaving 1k - 500 base, leaves you with 500 def or 100% def from runes
+15k hp is only 150% hp from runes
Aaaah that makes it easier to understand
and 45% acc is roughly 7% acc per rune (6 runes)
Thats tough to achieve
Im not lucky with accuracy in subs
Ill see what i have
Also quick question
I read somewhere that frans heals scale with her attack
Does that mean i would need more attack on fran?
Or is she good where shes at
a dead fran doesnt heal
like to think of it like that
though yes, her s2 heals with more attack, but rather her stay alive and then trying to cut out other more important stats
That makes sense lol
Dude trying to build this mav is tough
Should i be using swift on him?
Should i go broken?
your going for stats
so if u end up full broken (no sets get completed) that is how it is
Ok im still trying to get him up
This is the best i can put on mav for now
Would this work
He ended up fully broken
But for now thats the best i can do
Def is still kinda low but you can try it
My water rift team rn is the water twins, fran, mav, ling ling and kro
Is there anyone i should replace?
Sounds good to me
The main reason why you are using LL for water rift is because she is also great for SF10, so your build for her should focus on that
She needs at least 25% acc, be the fastest on your team and have enough hp to survive, rest can go into damage
I would probably drop vio for a swift set
Correction: drop vio for better runes
Dang so vio isnt the play here?
I just best my highest score on water rift, 3.5mil
Also give her artifacts
Highscore doesnt really matter, you want to kill it twice to get sss
sf10 LL and water rift LL are different, water rift LL just built as ?dd and then mkoved later
yea this is always something that will be an issue lul
try to find runes that u have a ton of and start upping your standards for those
(it's even harder in pve, because you'll have a lot of decent pvp runes just sitting in storage)
So basically gb12 runes
no like
think of archetypes of runes
say u have a lot of fatal slot 1s with crit rate, dmg, and atk%
if you have a ton, you can probably sell off the bottom 25-50%
and start upping your standard for fatal slot 1s
Theres multiple rune selling guides in #1048681073502068917 and #998669804779085824
to reiterate what i mean by this -- like DD runes, support runes, etc.
Don't you need to do both at this stage of the progression
no, sf10 is a bit further down (pre bj5)
Whats sf10 btw
Steel fortress B10
Beginning (during ?progression) :
Farm Steel Fortress/Punishers Crypt B1-2, Fill both slots with a White/Normal rarity artifact [1] that has a main stat fitting the mon's use. Substats don't matter.
Later (end of ?progression):
Farm SF/PC10 for Blue/Rare+ quality replacements, taking substats in consideration. Because of the extreme variance in substats, a good main stat + decent double roll on a relevant substat, or good substat rolls with a "mismatched" main stat are excellent for a long time.
Refer to ?artifactsinfo in bot-commands for more information about artifacts, and for note [1].
Well alright then, I was pretty sure it was recommended before tricaru, since it makes the Verde rune reqs lower but I'm no adviser, so listen to @rocky galleon
ye sf10 is right after
but sf10 lingling is pretty low damage and u need water rift first anyways so
So im still dropping vio runes?
That means i gotta either break her or farm swift set
Turns out I was wrong - you don't need a swift set, but I would still drop vio for a better generic DD set
?dd
Early game Damage Dealer (Lushen, Kro, Lapis, etc.)
ATK/SPD CD ATK (Slot 2 SPD if not enough SPD from substats)
~85+ CR
Preferred 140+ speed
Rest in ATK/CD (balance: Bonus ATK = Total CD)
Set doesn't matter, whatever combination gives best stats.
You will want to switch her to a different rune set later on, but for now you just want her to do damage
Yeah all my damage dealers are lacking rn
Especially my kro and water twins
I think talia is decent?
Or maybe she isnt idk
Omg thats too specific 😭😭😭 i wish i could just willingly change stat for stat like that
Screw rift i guess im farming more gb12 🙃
I thought i had already farmed it enough to progress
Don't think of farming gb12 as something that's holding you back, I am long done with progression, but I have been farming giants for like 3 weeks straight
The more you farm giants the less you will have to take them later
Well its not that i have a problem with farming gb12 its just that i dont really know what runes are good and which arent.. which to sell and which to keep.. and where that rune would be best used if it is decent
Rune knowledge is probably my biggest flaw
I have 0 rune knowledge i just use what i THINK is good
I had a friend log into my account and laugh at me because i get lucky with monster summons but have the trashiest runes
Ill go check
Don't worry about that - you can always farm runes, but getting the right units can take a while, just laugh back at him
Lol i literally got camilla earlier today on top of jamire and zaiross right before her.. i got 2 lushens right before them and he doesnt even have 1 lushen yet
But if he got lushen he could build one straight away
Its lame
Also im reading that rune guide and its like doing calculus in college
I do not understand a single bit of it other than the basic stuff
Lmao
As someone who is about to finish calculus in college - I feel you
But there are worse things in college
Lol true
Im currently watching a youtube video to help me understand runes better
Im too dumb to know what that guide is talking about
Be mindful of who you watch, not all content creators are good
He's alright
Feel free to ask any questions, I can do my best to answer
Altho I am still learning myself
how did you get the font in your pcitures
Wym
in your pictures, the font of stats and everything look different
Oooooh
I'm pretty sure you need to change your phone's default font
Yeah
Its your phones default
Or u can download them on the store
Im so used to it i dodnt even notice it was different from everyone else
ah i see
Anyways, as for the runes - you can probably sum gb12 runes rather easily - fatal is pretty simple, you just want DD stats, a little speed and a little HP doesn't hurt either
Blade the same, but you can keep high def rolls for def-based DDs
Swift is either a speed chase or DD runes - so either highest possible speed or a combination of speed, crits and atk
Despair is a speed chase, you will rarely use this set in PvE
Energy you only keep runes with high efficiency that you will use as broken sets
Have I missed any sets?
Oh, and if any rune rolls high speed you keep it
So rolling blue runes with a speed sub to +6 is absolutely worth it, especially swift ones
Once you have this knowledge, you can use resources to build on top of that
Ok ive done a lot of rune selling
I have a better undertsanding now
Im down to about 700 runes now
I just have a quick question
Farming gb12 should i be keeping blue runes?
At all?
Ive been only keeping blue runes that gets decent speed rolls regardless of the other stat
But is that really the move?
Should i be selling any and all blue runes?
Yes
Which ones?
Same rule as purple and legend runes, first you need to upgrade them to know wether theyre good or not
And you also want substats that match
So like res + cd is a sell
Acc + atk is a sell
Etc
You also want to be way more strict with blue runes
So like, if a rune starts with 4 spd and you upgrade and get +4 spd, its mostly likely a sell
Unless you dont have anything better
And be less strict with swift
At some point with blues you will very likely only keep high rolls/max rolls so eventually it gets easier to sell them
