I play solo quite a bit and just out position teams when tehy are close, just peeking the same angles is just going to get you killed. It is a little sluggish compared to some other games but not really than things like tarkov or abi which are the games I would compare this game to mechanics wise

espacially those two games feel much more agile to me i have no problem outaiming multiple enemys at once close range because the movement allows me to do so here for example the ads sway or slow robotic leaning makes its nearly impossible to face check anyone u gotta play smart and find good angles preferebly with a dmr or sniper to compete solo

Its new an got hype behind it, i feel. Not even on steam yet, too early to tell. But #📋・patchnotes does make it promising things are being fixed.
If history repeats itself, it should hype up to be even bigger. Lose players, then some kind of free to play model comes out a year later and its back
