I currently think the KS-23's replication time is too high at 8 hours, making it worth 2 PKMs or other very powerful weapons. Looking at the current option list (5s, 5m, 10m, 30m, 4h, 8h) I feel the KS23 should be lowered to either 30 minutes or 4 hours. The preferable balancing spot would actually be ~2 hours or so as a powerful end tier shotgun, but still eventually outclassed by other weapons. However, no 1-2 hour option exists.
#Lower KS-23 Replication Time

I agree with you, considering that weapons like the AA-12 and Ash-12, which are very advanced, have the same time (8h). But comparing it to weapons like the AS Val, PKM, and SVD, which have a 4h production time, the KS-23 should have 2h of production. However, since there is currently no 2h option, 4h would also be fine.
Reducing the KS-23's replication time significantly could make it too easily accessible, potentially flooding the playfield with a powerful weapon and disrupting the intended balance of the game.
While the current replication time may seem high, it contributes to the weapon's scarcity and perceived value, ensuring it remains a sought-after and impactful choice.
Furthermore, the 8 hour replication time could be balanced by other factors, such as its effectiveness in combat or its unique niche in the weapon meta.
However, the current scarcity of the KS-23 might be excessive, leading to frustrating gameplay experiences for players who rarely have the opportunity to utilize it.
A moderate reduction in replication time could still maintain the weapon's value while making it more accessible and allowing for more diverse gameplay strategies, without necessarily leading to a complete imbalance.
