Hi, I tried creating flyers but it doesn't come out exactly as I expected. The spacing from the sides is off and I just want it to fit on a regular size computer paper A4, I believe. I spend so much time making the flyers look pretty and all but the time I hit print it never really fits the whole page. Its either too small or has so much gaps at the sides. Its obviously a sizing issue but then i am not sure what templates to use. Any tips/suggestions/feedback would be helpful please and thank you!

First of all, make sure you chose the right size: A4 is 297 by 210 mm.
Secondly, know that most printers will not print up to the edges of the paper (Called a "non-printable margin")

You need to check with your printer first. Depending on your printer settings, your printer might scale back the print size to account for thos edges. Otherwise, it will print full size but the edges won't be printed.
Very few printers will print right up to the dges (generally high end injet printer do, for example the ones for fine art printing)
If you give me the brand and model of your printer, I can check that for you.

I have a Canon laser printer and it has a 5 mm non printable margin on all sides.
(You can check that exactly by printing a full grey page and check wha is not printed)

As far as I am aware, everything I have printed from Adobe Express (and exported as PDF for printing, since it's the only file format is truly print friendly) ended up printed at the right size.

Thanks Sandrine! I don't know the printer details because its at my work space. Its those common bulky looking gray printers, I don't know if this helps. Thanks a lot for letting me know about the size, i will double check to see if thats the measurements I have set. Would you have any video tutorials on how to create a flyer on Adobe Express? Also, would you know if there is an app i can download on my desktop? Thanks so much 🙂

If it's a laser printer, it's very likely it has a set size with margins so there will be no possibility to extend beyond what the printer can do. All you can do is design around that and trim the excess paper or send it to a printer that does edge to edge printing
Now that there is a margin and bleed option in Adobe Express you can take advantage of that to design with that in mind
Margin are set automatically in Adobe Express to a number that fits most uses..

if you decide to print on a standard laser printer then you don't need to worry about bleed, just design within the margins (blue line)
