Hi everyone! My name is Vic Chen; I'm a Product Manager on Adobe Express. My team would love to hear what you think of the "Favorites" feature that we launched in Adobe Express about four weeks ago. Have you tried favoriting anything? How have you used this in your workflow, if at all? Anything you wish we could do to make the feature better? Let us know in the thread. 🙂
#What do you think of "Favorites"?

Hi VIC, I’ve been playing with the new Express IPad Beta the past few days. So my feedback is about that version. I think having a FAVORITE tag is an excellent and very useful tool. Currently you can only nominate a Favorite when it’s in the list. If you don’t happen to nominate an item as a favourite at that stage it’s very difficult to do so once the item is already on your work page (and you decide you want to nominate it as a favorite). I’ve had to go scrolling through the elements/icons again trying to find it so can favorite it. So a suggestion would be to either be able to have a favorite option listed on the drop down item menu as well, OR once you highlight the item, for it to search, find and go to the position where you found it in your search. Hope that makes sense? 😁
Also, it is currently limiting me the amount of Favorites. Not sure how many I chose before it stopped allowing any more but could be around 20 icons?
It’s a very useful feature when you want to save certain shapes, icons, elements etc that you use regularly in your designs for consistency as well as personal preferences. Saving time by having to scroll through hundreds of options each time.
Hi Vic!
I used it a couple of times to "keep" icons from the same series when I find them. As in, a group of icons that are visually cohesive (same thickness, same design etc)
I think a nice addition to the "elements" tab, in general, would be the ability to filter assets by creator, or series. Particularly for icons (I guess it's not needed for shapes). That way, no need to create favourites after having scrolled down all the icons you need to find the same series tthroughout.
For example if you create a social media post/tutorial and use icons to make your explanations (to visually represent icons from a software for example) then it's important to have them all look the same, and we know that icons creators usually create a whole series based on the same principles anyway.
But I digress 🙂
Even when I choose photos, I used the favourites to find images with the same style so I can use them for a same series of tutorials.
So what I do is search for a whole bunch of icons, images, etc and try to find some that are related (For isons, I sometimes go to the noun project website, so I can have a visibility of icons that I assume they would have provided to Adobe express and visually match them)
When I'm done with my project, I can deselect the favourites, and only leave those I know I will reuse often.
Agree with @sandrine, I spend a lot of time looking for icons that are in a series by the same designer. Would be so helpful if a secondary search could be done to find them.
It helps to bookmark the templates I want to reference without needing to hunt them down later. But I'd imagine, as the number of items increase, it'll take some time to sift through without a filtering mechanism.
