Sometimes I start with a solid colour then I add an image from photos (such as a house). I sometimes want to change the color of that image (house). The old version had an option called “looks” that made that easy. I don’t see a similar option in this version. See picture. This is a solid yellow with a picture of a house added. Let’s say I wanted to change the house to brown, how would I do that? In the old version I’d use duotone. See 2nd image.
#is there a “Looks” option? to change colors on an added image?

I'm not sure that's exactly the same thing but in the interface you got the "theme"
It changes all the colours in the artwork following a theme. For example here I will choose a "modern" theme
and I can click on the double crossing arrow at the top to randomly change the colours
Alternatively if you want to change only one element colour, you just need to click on the fill colour (after having selected it)
You can choose any colour you like between the page theme (which I've just chosen in the steps above), the recent colours or even in the custom section at the top (either with a eyedropper, a hex/rgb code or simply choosing in the colour table)
Now, it will work with shapes, if your house isn't a shape or an icon (found in the element tab on the left under shape or icon)
then it will not work if it's considered an image. (for example a PNG or JPeg image you placed into the project)
in that case you will not be able to recolour it with a fill colour (but you can still tweak it with the effects and adjustments)
what you see when your object is selected will tell you if that's a shape/icon or image. If you can't see the fill colour, then that means it cannot be recoloured with a standard fill colour
Good suggestions but unfortunately because my orange house didn’t come from shapes or icons but is a picture/photo I’ve added, it won’t change color using your suggestions 😊 In the old version pictures/photos could be changed with an option called “looks”
You can change it using the "effects" in the image left panel
BTW this is also an image I created in illustrator (a PNG)
Ah yes Thank you 👍 in effects… at the bottom on the app.
