#Is there a way to import an Adobe Express picture or video into Adobe programs?

Hi! I'm new here and I would like to import a project (a picture) I made in Adobe Express into Adobe Illustrator. But I can't find out how? Because when I try to do it through exporting a PDF, the layers don't come with.

BONUS: Is there a way to do this with video as well in Premiere or After Effects?

HI!

#

your project should export in PDF with layers

#

see this one I made the other day in illustrator

#

and how it looks in Adobe express

#

Now the layer stack will probably be different in Adobe Express and Illustrator, sometimes the text will be outlined, but it would be the exception

#

for example here, it came up as real editable text. The shape is converted into a conpound path (there are some "holes" so it makes sense)

#

but you see my example is all about vector shapes anyway: texts and shapes are all vector paths. So the result might be different with a photo. Now with video, as far as I know, .mp4 isn't a layered file format, and .mp4 is the only way you can export a video in Adobe Express, so I would say no.

regarding after effects, since the PDF exports layer, you can add your illustrator elements as layers in After Effects, and animate from there
