Hi All,
Newbie here. I've tried to figure this out but I'm not having much luck.

I do open mic stand up comedy and make videos of my performance.

My first question is: How do I access the quick actions menu from videos in the Your Stuff folder???

I want to do the following the video and would love it if you could just point me to resources to help me figure this out

  1. Zoom in to show only my torso
  2. Make sure the zoomed in /cropped portion is still full sized (not 1/3 of the screen)
  3. Add autocaptions
  4. Split the video into multiple scenes(each joke is separate)

I have been able able to add autocaptions and split the video so 1 and 2 and the items I need help on.

You can't really access the quick actions while in "project" mode.
For example if you want to use the captioning feature, you need to have worked on your video first as a project in Adobe Express, and dowloade it. Then open the captionning quick action, and upload the saved video.
Or you can caption first, download, upload as a project and then edit your video thereafter.

Not sure it's clear 🙂

  1. You operate within a "canvas", this canvas will be the size your edited video needs to be. If you need your video resized, you can transform (ie: enlarge) the video within the canvas.
#

for example in this video of mine: I selected the video which sits within the canvas, you can see it highlighted in the layers panel, but also you can see it outlined by the blue transform handles. You'll use these handles to resize your video

  1. see 1) You are contrained by the size of the canvas (in my case: YouTube video)
#
  1. you do that after having edited the video, downloaded it, and uplaoded it in the captionning quick action (see my intro)
  2. once you have imported your video within your project, you can edit it by clicking on the scene in the timeline (that selects the scene) and place the playhead where you want to split it (Shortcut: S)
#

After having created your project, and uploaded the video, your video consists of one scene. If you split it once, you'll get two scenes, if you add another video after the first, you'll get 3 scenes. And same with the audio. You select the audio track, by clicking on it in the timeline (the blue bits in the screenshot)

#

and you can split it the same way, mute it or delete it, by clicking on the 3 dots at the right of each scene/audio bit. The split will only happen where the playhead is
