I'm an AI assistant - my answers may be incorrect and I cannot see screenshots. Please verify information with the OpenRouter docs.

Thank you for providing detailed info. To help you (and mods/support) diagnose further, please clarify:

  1. Are you able to access https://openrouter.ai/ in your browser, or is it also down for you?
  2. Does this issue occur with all models, or only with google/gemini-3-pro-preview? If possible, please test with a different model and share whether it works.
  3. Are you using any specific request headers or parameters, or just the basic required ones? Please share your relevant code snippet for the API request.

These answers will help narrow down if your problem is model-specific, networking, or API configuration related.

For real-time service status, I don't have access to real-time incident data. Always check the OpenRouter status page or the #announcements channel in Discord for the latest updates, or ask a mod directly. If the status page does not show current issues but you're still experiencing a persistent 503 error, please provide the above details and alert the mods for deeper investigation OpenRouter Status.

  1. Yes, I can access openrouter.ai in my browser.
  2. Yes, all models have this problem, even made-up ones.
  3. No, I am not using anything too different. The code has worked previously so it's not the code that is the problem.

Occasionally, I also get this error:

{
  "error": {
    "message": "Internal Server Error",
    "code": 500
  },
  "user_id": "I have hidden this value"
}

How do I alert the mods? Who are they?

To alert the mods, post your issue in the #help channel on the OpenRouter Discord server and describe your problem clearly, including:

  • The error messages (503 and 500)
  • The fact that it occurs for all models and even invalid model names
  • That you can access the site in your browser

Discord mods are admins or staff in the OpenRouter Discord. Posting in #help or tagging @mod or @admin will usually get their attention.

I don't have access to real-time status or incident information. Please check the OpenRouter status page or the #announcements channel in Discord for current service status, or ask a mod directly. If you're not getting a response or the issue is urgent, you can tag @mod or @admin in the #help channel to get moderator attention.

You can also view incident history at Incident History and see if your issue lines up with any recent outages. If it doesn't, keep pressing in Discord and provide detailed error/output information to help the team investigate.

<@&1384697330254610442> Hi, I'd really like an update on this. When will this be resolved by? It's the main completions API after all. I need to use it to do things.
