The "Insufficient credits" error corresponds to error code 402. It means your account or API key has run out of credits. You will need to add more credits and retry your request to resolve this issue. This is a standard error response from OpenRouter when usage limits are exceeded API Error Handling.

Have you checked your current credit balance or tried adding more credits recently?

I have credits and other LLMs work, only the openai ones don't.

If you have credits and other LLMs work but only the OpenAI models show "Insufficient credits," the issue may be specific to your OpenAI API key or usage limits with OpenAI models via OpenRouter. Please check that your OpenAI API key is correctly set and has sufficient quota. Also, verify if there are any restrictions or filters applied to OpenAI models in your request routing settings.

For more details on providers and routing, see Provider Routing.

Are you using the OpenAI GPT-3.5 Turbo model or another OpenAI model specifically?

No problem! If you need help resolving the error or have any other questions, just let me know.

Are you using OpenRouter's OpenAI-compatible API or a specific model?
