Both of them got nerfed because they both needed nerfs, having above average dps, great crowd control, and some of the best mobility in the game. Both of their nerfs were deserved. Cortex is still the best char in the game, he just doesn't do 90% to someone's hp off one polymorph anymore

cortex can still dish out damage to be honest, just plop down trash heap and fight in it. 9/10 the enemy will try to fight you in the aoe instead of avoiding it
