Hey, I’d like to report a data usage issue and make a suggestion.
I was downloading wallpapers on Pocket Poster using cellular data. After downloading just two wallpapers (Minecraft chest and Kanye West Graduation), Pocket Poster suddenly became the top data-using app on my iPhone and on my Samsung phone’s hotspot.
Pocket Poster used 7.82 GB of cellular data this month on my iPhone, and today when connected to my samsung phone hotspot it consumed 3.17 GB of data. These wallpapers are nowhere near that size on the website.
I believe this is caused by the app auto-playing multiple video previews at once.
My suggestions to the developers:
Add an option to disable preview autoplay (or disable it when on cellular data)
Use static images instead of video previews, with an optional view preview video button
Or add an link to the website for downloads, which uses much less data
