Is there a way for when searching for a tab and "switch to tab" appears, to scroll to the tab instead of bringing it to the top of the tab list?

That's the default behaviour. (at least for me it scrolls to the tab and does not move it)

Maybe you switched to an unloaded tab and it opened a new one on the top (if that's your default location for new tabs)?
