#Ubuntu GNOME + Floating URL Bar: Losing focus when switching keyboard layout (language)

Hi! I'm using Zen on my Ubuntu machine and noticed yet another annoyance. When I'm trying to create a new tab with floating URL bar enabled and trying to switch the language mid-typing the address or search query, then Zen is losing the focus, then regains it back. But after regaining the focus back, it will no longer create a new tab, but will change the URL of the current active tab.

I know that issue is actually coming from Ubuntu/GNOME, since my Windows and KDE Fedora machines are not affected by this. But maybe there is someone who might know some workarounds to this. Or should I just accept my fate and switch back to the new tab?

P.S.: Actually, it's even worse when I disable search history, bookmarks and other stuff from suggestions. It just loses focus and does not regain it back.

Pretty much all I can do now is to train myself to re-press Ctrl+T every time I want to switch language. Pretty annoying.

Maybe it's worthy of an issue on GitHub, but it feels like an issue from the Ubuntu or/and GNOME side.
