The mod is supposed to turn on the flag in about:config and in userChrome.css make the browser bg #00000000 unless you set a cusotm color there... so basically just gets rid of the need to go to about:config for it... Nex update will allow removing the white tint as well without editing userChrome.css

But I just can't get the transparency working on my gnome system. I have the flag enabled in the flag settings. Currently using the catppuccin theme but also without the theme the transparency is not applied.

yeah IDK about gnu or any wm .... I never tried ff on them and back then, I had to use a gnome extension or so to get transparency and especially blur and it sucked with performance.... you might have to do some research on "how to get transparency with gnome firefox" and then apply that to zen

this addon and the mod does not add blur or transparency to the browser, it just utilizes the existing blur/transparency and shows it through the page

Not sure this was achieved with user content or user chrome .

I only have user chrome for the empty tab screen. You might need to apply one for the whole #browser but, try to avoid displaying it unless in a new tab or it will be there on any tab unless that's what you need

Current changes :

• ability to keep the workspace specific color tint with transparency
• ability to flip the white tint to a darker tint in dark theme
• option to remove the shadow around the page

• removed background image feature since it doesn't work

adjust the 5 in both color codes... lower means more transparency.... it's 0-9 and then A-F where F is full opaque.

Ah, I've actually tried it and it does have personal touch for popular sites like Google, Instagram, Reddit, etc.

The check box he clicked forces transparency on those sites which doesn't have a personal css for it.

Also, there is competition given it handles top bar transparency really well for reddit. @vagrant marten

I tried running both and my only mistake was doing it on my old Windows laptop (~8 yrs old running Win 11). Display crashed and Windows automatically restarted to fix the issue. Good thing that it was actually fixed within a minute!
