I recently started using compact sidebar with a keyboard shortcut to toggle it. Last night, it started covering up the webpage content and would not auto-hide.

I think I figured out now that it is the difference between "Toggle Compact Mode" and "Toggle Floating Sidebar".

  1. Does that sound right to you? (I no longer have the "problem" unless I toggle floating sidebar back on)
  2. Is there a way to make that more discoverable and clear?

Possible solution

Maybe when floating sidebar is enabled, there could be a UI element on the outside edge that signals it could be closed or that content is behind it? I'm thinking like a small "bump" with an arrow in the middle of the sidebar?
